There’s this great quote I came across today.

The more civilized we become, the more horrendous our entertainments.

~ “Wicked” by Gregory Maguire

Quite a fascinating quote as it reflects the truth. I tend to love those the most, whether it directly insults an individual or not ;)

I'm a wee tired of the songs that I have, which leads me to ask...

Recommend me your all-time favorite song(s)!

There's no specifics that I'm asking, because I'm asking for your favorites. So...shoot... tell me!

I’ve never flied a kite before, but I’m interested in doing so. There are many places around here where one could catch the wind. Yet, for some reason, I’m not ready to take that “chance” or perhaps I’m too lazy to go out and buy a kite.

Yeah, well, that’s a little random thought. Best way to start this journal again.

A bit odd I suppose.

Yep, you’ll be seeing that a lot from me.

I wrote this a long time ago in one of my other diaries...

side note, I was drunk when I wrote it.....

this is a list of things that can ruin my day

* Girls i went to high school with calling me trying to pretend like we're friends because they read my diary.

* Going into work early.

* Going into work at all.

* Slow-ass old people in cars (it's bad enough that they can't walk at a decent

pace)

* Old people in general.

* Children.

* Stop signs.

* The phrase "you're never fully dressed without a smile."

* Canned peaches.

* The guy holding a "SLOW" sign near the construction site, that no matter HOW slow I'm going he still waves his hands and yells at my car.

* Joggers that jog in place while they're waiting for the light to change colors.

* trucks that scatter dirt and rocks all over everything.

* Breakfast.

* live tuna fish... that's the scariest fish in all of the sea!

Not every list should be all negatives so here are some things that can make my day better:

* Not going into work.

* People's Court.

* Rolling my eyes when someone asks me a question.

* Arguing with someone when I'm obviously wrong to see how long it takes for them to catch on.

* Seeing someone run towards me in an elevator while I press the "CLOSE DOOR" button.

* Not waking up.

* Answering questions with questions.

* Kicking my moms neighbor's ugly-ass flowers.

* Honking my horn at an intersection, then pretending like I don't know who honked just to confuse people.

* Scaring children.

* Finding a good parking spot (mocking people that don't have one).

* Saying something that pisses someone off even more than they're already pissed off.

* Making someone feel bad about doing something I do all the time.

* Pulling the door shut behind me when I see someone coming towards me with their hands full.

* Seeing someone trip and fall.

Why do we kill people who are killing people to show that killing people is wrong?
- Holly Near

It's funny the way most people love the dead. Once you are dead, you are made for life.
- Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stone, December 2, 1976

Death? Why this fuss about death? Use your imagination, try to visualize a world without death! Death is the essential condition of life, not an evil.
- Charlotte Perkins Gilman "The Living of Charlotte Perkins Gilman"

Our fear of death is like our fear that summer will be short, but when we have had our swing of pleasure, our fill of fruit, and our swelter of heat, we say we have had our day.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

The human animal dances wildest on the edge of the grave.

I’m still alive and kicking.

I would have preferred to be alive than to kick to stay alive.

I also have a new mood theme.

People are so touchy these days.

Don't mention "God" or "Religion" or everyone is an uproar.

Take the event I've attended last night.

It is called "December Nights" because people aren't "comfortable" if you call it "Christmas Night" It's all because of the whole "religious theme" to it.

I don't understand why they would be bothered by that when Christmas came out of it.

I guess it shows that some people will take what suits them, and leave the rest that doesn't.

What are my thoughts on religion itself? I really have no opinion about it. If that's what people believe in, so be it.
